Google doesn’t recommend unlocking the bootloader, but if you like tinkering with our device, this is a possible option. You can unlock it even if your Pixel 3 has the Titan M security chip in place. Unlocking bootloader helps when you want to gain root access to your device, flash factory images easily, rescue your device from a soft-brick or boot-loop, or install custom recovery or ROM.
