Samsung Galaxy S10 enthusiasts finally have something real to hang on to. The launch date for the phone has been made public.
Phones are not that successful during CES, but CNET just revealed that this year Samsung managed to steal the show. They announced the launch for the much-awaited 10th anniversary Galaxy phone. This is expected to be called Galaxy S10.
“The event will take place Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 11 a.m. PT at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco,” CNET reveals.
Samsung’s Unpacked event
These Samsung events are reportedly usually a huge deal, but this year the company will get everyone much more excited comp[ared to the previous years.
Samsung is still the world’s largest mobile phone seller, but its Chinese rival is quickly following from behind to take the second spot.
The Galaxy S10 is definitely Samsung’s 10th-anniversary device. There have been tons of rumors about the phone such as two curved devices that sit side by side and more.
December came with a new leak about the phone
Back in December, SlashGear brought a brand new leak about Samsung Galaxy S10.
We were able to see the front-facing screen cover with black borders. It seems that this is the largest version of the phone, Samsung Galaxy S10+ or Galaxy S10 Plus.
Regarding the Samsung Galaxy S10, BGR recently noted that there would also be a “feature called Artistic Live Focus, a term that Samsung wants to trademark in Europe, according to a Galaxy Club discovery. The feature is related to the camera, according to the description: Smartphones … Mobile telephones; Software … computer software for processing digital images; Computer software for creating digital animation and special effects of images.”
It’s not very clear whether Samsung will be announcing two or more unique devices at the same event because this would be quite risky for the company because one could overshadow the other. We’ll just have to wait and see what Samsung has in store for us.
