Blizzard enthusiasts and the whole gaming community are embracing some pretty impressive news today.
Executive producer Allen Adham revealed that Blizzard is currently working on more mobile titles for all of its IPs.
Announcing Diablo Immortal
The highly exciting news comes after the announcement of Diablo Immortal which is a mobile title that’s included in the Diablo franchise.
“In terms of Blizzard’s approach to mobile gaming, many of us over the last few years have shifted from playing primarily desktop to playing many hours on mobile, and we have many of our best developers now working on new mobile titles across all of our IPs,” said Adham during a BlizzCon 2018 press conference, according to a Reddit user.
He continued and detailed that “Some of them are with external partners, like Diablo Immortal; many of them are being developed internally only, and we’ll have information to share on those in the future. I will say also that we have more new products in development today at Blizzard than we’ve ever had in our history and our future is very bright.”
Blizzard flaunts four main franchises
The four main franchises of Blizzard are Warcraft, Diablo, StarCraft, and Overwatch.
Blizzard has been already celebrating the massive success achieved with Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft which is a free-to-play collectible card game that has the Warcraft series as a foundation.
This was initially released on PC before it got ported to mobile.
Diablo Immortal is a sequel to Diablo II, and the prequel to Diablo III and the game has the main focus on the adventures of particular characters from the series between the two games.
After announcing the great news, Immortal faced some significant backlash from Diablo fans.
More Diablo goodies are around the corner
Many of them have been keeping their fingers crossed, and they were hoping that the new game that’s announced for the series would be Diablo IV.
But, if you’re among the upset fans, don’t worry because Blizzard highlighted the fact that more Diablo surprises are on their way and not all of them are going to be for mobile.
