The update is rolling out starting today (May 10th) and it is arriving via OTA (over the air) channels. Since this is Google we are talking about, then it should come as no surprise that the update can also be downloaded in the form of APK.

APK is a special update format that Google uses whenever it releases a new update. The update’s acronym stands for “Android Package Kit” and therefore, it can only be installed on Android powered devices. However, there is a trick to making Android devices eligible for APK releases. The trick is to head over to the “Settings” panel and then to enable the “Unknown Sources” option.
