GTA 6 Release Date Leaked: Possibly In 2020 With One-Month Exclusivity For PlayStation 5

Grand Theft Auto 6, or GTA 6, in short, must be one of the most highly anticipated games in history. Rockstar has managed to create a real mystery around this game. Nothing was confirmed yet, and fans had to rely solely on leaks. The most recent one suggested to a 2020 release date plus a one-month exclusivity for PlayStation 5.

We were all left in the dark when it came to the release date. However, that recent leak seems to have the date figured out. The information comes from European developers, and according to them, GTA 6 will first become available for PlayStation 5 users, which should be a significant advantage for Sony.

GTA 6 would come out in 2020 as a one-month exclusive title on PlayStation 5

According to the source, Sony paid to get one month of exclusivity for the game. That means that the Microsoft Xbox Two will get a late start when it comes to Grand Theft Auto 6. The leak doesn’t mention anything about the PC release of GTA 6. However, a PC release is expected to take place a couple of months later.

Remember that this leak is not confirmed yet, so take it as a rumor. If it helps you, this is not the first time we hear about Take-Two Interactive and Sony teaming up for GTA 6 exclusivity on the next PlayStation console.

Other details also emerged, about GTA 6 location

This leak also suggests that Grand Theft Auto 6 will take place in Liberty City, New York City in the Grand Theft Auto Universe, and Vice City, the in-game depiction of Miami. There have been other rumors suggesting that GTA 6 will be set in Vice City and South America. At the moment we do not know which rumor is real.

There have also been rumors about the release date. Some say that the game will be out in 2020, corroborating with other rumors stating that PlayStation 5 would come out then, while others believe that it will be released in 2022, on the same reasons.

A 2020 release date, however, seems a bit unlikely, since Rockstar is still focusing on Red Dead Redemption 2 and its online variant, while the rumors saying that PS5 would launch next year are also quite hard to believe.
