Sony’s Gift for the First Anniversary of God of War – Theme and Avatar Set

Happy Birthday to Sony’s PS4 action game God of War that was launched one year ago, and this week they are celebrating the birthday. God of War is an action-adventure video game released on April 2018 by Sony Interactive and developed by Santa Monica Studio for PlayStation 4. This version of God of War isn’t based on the Greek mythology, but on the Norse mythology, and it’s set in ancient Norway, in the realm of Midgard. However, the company has a week-long party to celebrate God of Wars, and for the fans of the game some presents.

What Is Sony Giving to Fans of the God of War?

First of all, a new dynamic theme for PS4 is launched, and you can get it starting from now. The theme begins with a scene between Kratos and his son, Atreus in the Lake of Nine. Also, the theme is free for every player. The other gift that fans will receive on April 17 is the new PS4 avatar for God of War. Of course, this avatar is for free as well, and you don’t need to purchase the game.

However, Shannon Studstill, the head of God of War developer Sony Santa Monica, posted a beautiful message about the game’s anniversary. She is saying that the road from the first idea of Cory Barlog, the game director, through the finalization was exciting, doubt, and a lot of faith. She is thanking in the name of Sony’s PlayStation family to the entire world for the support in their journey.

Finally, God of War is also an awarded game. The company has won with it multiple Game of the Year awards, even at the most recently BAFTAs. All the high praises for the game God of War are encouraging the team to continue creating more games in the coming years.
