Nintendo Will Reportedly Launch Two New Switch Models This Summer

It has been already reported that Microsoft is gearing up to launch a disc-less version of the Xbox One S.

Now, it seems that Nintendo has also decided to launch two different versions of its own Nintendo Switch.

Wall Street Journal just reported that Nintendo is currently planning to launch a smaller and cheaper model of Nintendo Switch that is designed to bring gaming to everyone.

This also includes people who cannot afford to spend a lot on powerful consoles because we all know the price tags that these can sport.

According to the reports, it seems that the second model will be more expensive and it will be targeting hardcore gamers.

This means that it will come packed with really powerful hardware specs that can compete against PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.

Two new Nintendo Switch models

These two models that Nintendo is preparing are going to be launched this summer according to WSJ.

More than that, Nintendo’s parts suppliers have been reported that the new consoles will come without the HD Rumble controller vibration feature.

The thing is that this is never used by Nintendo Switch users and getting rid of it will reportedly help Nintendo cut down production costs of the new devices.

It’s also interesting to note that both Microsoft and Sony will be announcing their highly anticipated next-gen consoles in 2019 and both of them will sport some compelling specs in terms of hardware and innovative features as well.

In other Nintendo-related news, it was reported a couple of days ago that the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One players would be happy to know that Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid will be released on 26 March.

On 28 March, PS4 players in Europe will be able to play it, and on 2 April, it will be available for PS4 players in America. The PC version of the game should be available this summer.
