The Elder Scrolls 6 Release Date: There’s Both Good and Bad News

We know that The Elder Scrolls 6 is one of the most anticipated games in… forever! We all love The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim even though it needs a little tweaking here and there, it’s still a popular game considering it has been launched in 2011 and kept on getting re-released on various gaming platforms.

But like with all the GTA V fans waiting for GTA 6, we are all waiting for the Elder Scrolls 6 and wondering when it will continue the legacy and what it will feature.

The Elder Scrolls 6: What We Know So Far

We’ve gathered all the official information on the Elder Scrolls 6 that could hint to a probable release date, and we came to a conclusion.

First of all, Bethesda revealed they have begun working on The Elder Scrolls 6. They presented a 30-second video with a landscape and the title The Elder Scrolls VI. And that was it. No game subtitle, no character, no gameplay. Nothing.

The game’s setting and story might be a mystery, but at least we know that the devs are working on the next Elder Scrolls installment. But that’s not all.

Bethesda also plans to release Starfield, which will launch before The Elder Scrolls 6. That’s one of the bad news. Looking at Todd Howard’s description of Starfield as being a next-gen game last year at E3, this means that the game will take full advantage of the next-gen consoles from Sony and Microsoft, which will arrive sometime next year.

The Elder Scrolls 6 to Be Released in 2020?

Rumors have it that some of the consoles will arrive this year, but even if this is possible, the Elder Scrolls 6 will still have to wait. Best-case scenario, The Elder Scrolls 6 will arrive in 2020, but this is just wild speculation.

Meanwhile, game analysts suggest Bethesda might want to hurry and work hard to release The Elder Scrolls 6 considering Fallout 76 disappointed many fans.

And while we’re at the bad news, the Skyrim composer Jeremy Soule who also composed for Oblivion, and Morrowind has not been asked to write music for the next Elder Scrolls game. On a positive note, he did say that he is “currently not involved with TES VI,” which could also mean that he hasn’t been asked YET.
