New reports about the new iPhone 11 series are saying that we could have new devices with better selfie cameras, a new camera system, and the date of launching will be around September this year. When we are talking about a smartphone, some essential features are relevant for users, as the camera performance. In this case, we have two key models of smartphone that have conquered a lot of people thanks to their cameras. At this moment we have Samsung Galaxy S10 and Huawei P30 Pro that give us impressive camera hardware, so it’s expected that Apple will do the same with its upcoming iPhones.
What Information Do We Have Right Now?
The new iPhone 11 series are expected to be launched with better and improved new features, and from Ming-Chi Kuo analyst we know that Apple has some plans to do precisely that. Unfortunately, we don’t know if the new iPhone will be called iPhone 11 or iPhone XI, but until that let’s see what information we could gather from the analyst.
First of all, the new improvement will come to the selfie camera with 12-megapixel on the iPhone 11. Apple wants to add a third camera to the successor of the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. The third camera will have 12-megapixel and wide-angle lens created by Sony, especially for the iPhone 11. Until now the devices that feature this wide-angle lens are the Huawei P30 Pro and Samsung Galaxy 10. Also, soon it’s expected that OnePlus 7 Pro to be equipped with those features on its camera.
Second of all, Kuo says that the upcoming iPhone XR successor would be called iPhone XR 2, and will have the same dual-camera setup just like the current iPhone XS and the iPhone XS Max. The iPhone XR has only a single lens camera on the back. So, all three models from the iPhone 11 series will have the same 12-megapixel selfie camera.
To sum up, Apple wants to find a way to use a lens coated with a black film on the selfie cameras for the upcoming iPhone devices. The purpose is that the selfie cameras will match the colors of the bezel and to go unnoticed.
