iOS Jailbreak Guide – How to Remove Tweaks with Sileo

Even though Apple is doing its best to limit the apps and services that iOS users can access, there will always be jailbreak developers who will open the “doors” to apps and services that Apple doesn’t agree with. The best thing about jailbreaking an iPhone is the fact that users can access anything they want and get expensive apps without having to pay a single dime. On the downside of things, the tweaks for jailbroken iPhones are not that well optimized and removing them is not that simple.

The only thing that iPhone users usually need to do in order to remove a tweak from their iOS powered smartphone is to long press it and then tap on the big “X” icon that appears in the right corner. Unfortunately, this is not the case for jailbroken iPhones. Luckily, here is where Sileo comes in to save the day.

How to Remove Tweaks with Sileo

The first thing that users need to do in order to remove a tweak from their jailbroken iPhone is to access Sileo and then open the “Packages” option which can be found in the bottom side. After doing this, simply scroll through the alphabetically organized tweaks and find the one that they want to remove.

Tap on the tweak that needs to be removed and then tap on the “Modify” option which can be found in the “Details” page. After doing this, tap on the “Uninstall” option from the prompt menu and a “Queued Card” will pop up. Now, all that is left to do is to tap or swipe up on the “Queued Card” and then tap on the “Confirm” option so that the tweak is completely removed.

This is how jailbreak fans can remove tweaks from their iPhones. Even though it might be a little more complicated than on the normal version of iOS, it’s still better than being restricted by Apple after all.
