Epic Games has teased a promotional image and also a description for the brand new Floor Is Lava Limited Time Mode. This will be coming soon to Fortnite.
Just like the title implies and according to the image presented by Fortnite Intel, the whole ground-level of the Fortnite Battle Royale map has been turned into lava.
The goal of the LTC is to stay off of the ground and also the last team standing as well.
The website does not mention whether this was a submission for the Fortnite Creative LTM Contest, which was announced on Thursday, March 21st.
Probably this was an original creation by Epic Games due to the little amount of time between the announcement and the complexities that are involved.
It’s also interesting to note that Epic Games teased The Floor Is Lava back in February 2018 in the Fortnite Battle Royale State of Development v4 blog post.
There’s no release date announced by now, but the website mentioned above notes that it’s expected to be live in the v8.20 version update.
Fortnite’s latest update
Fortnite remains the most popular Battle Royale game, even though Apex Legends is coming from behind very fast.
Epic Games knows that, and the devs are frequently updating Fortnite to keep the players engaged. The latest update is Fortnite 8.10 which comes with some changes and additions.
The Baller is a new vehicle that came with the update, and it’s in a shape of a ball with only one seat that has in the front a Grappler so players can roll around the map.
Another excellent addition that Epic Games thought of introducing in Fortnite 8.10 update is the Vending Machines.
And last but definitely not least, the rarity and balancing of the weapons have also been changed and improved. The Common version of the Infantry Rifle has been removed.
