It was recently reported that has just rolled out the iOS 12.1.2 update into the world. It brings an essential fix for this year’s iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max and it also takes care of some other issues and a few bugs.
The update fixes the problems regarding eSim activation on the new model of iPhones. This feature was only added this year, and it allows a single phone to have separate carriers and numbers as well.
The second fix worth mentioning is regarding the phone connectivity in Turkey.
Apple rushed the latest update
Anyway, Apple seems to rush this newest update a bit, but the truth is that it did fix a data bug in iOS 12.1.1, as the Forbes reports.
On the other hand, it seems that as more iPhone owners upgraded, the consequence of Apple’s rushing this all became more and more apparent. Forbes writes that “the company made it worse.”
It looks like the update is breaking cellular data for users all over the world.
The scale of the issue is not very clear yet, but while Apple admitted that there was a fault in Turkey that we mentioned above, angry users are now proving that the latest update iOS 12.1.2 has spread the fault beyond that.

It seems that Apple Support has been telling affected people to simply restart their devices and update carrier settings, but it looks like this is not working. So, as a conclusion, the latest update is not recommended.
