WhatsApp just keeps adding new features constantly, and it’s understandable since it’s the most popular messaging app on the market – in the entire world. There’s really no sign of them slowing down. We’ve seen the stickers for iOS and Android, and we are about to see two new features – the “WhatsApp QR code” and “Add Contact” features.
As we’ve heard before, there’s also going to be a ranking system for iOS clients – we’ve seen it from the reliable source WABetaInfo. In this article, we’re going to take a look at these features.
WhatsApp add contact feature
This feature will come up soon for all the users – Android or iOS – and it’s supposed to make your life easier when it comes to saving a contact without actually leaving the app. When you tap on ‘Add Contact’, you’ll see a new section to add a new contact. When you write the number in your agenda, the device will automatically detect the country code, and the best thing is that it will automatically tell if you if the owner of the number has WhatsApp or not.
WhatsApp QR code
This is another very useful feature for WhatsApp clients. You will be able to share any contact just by scanning a QR Code. However, both of the clients – sender and receiver – will need to have the latest version of the app. After you update the app and you get your QR Code, the other person can scan your code and see all the contact details of that person.
We found out that a user can generate the QR Code for an unlimited amount of times, and that there’s also an option to revoke the QR Code.
