We all know what would be Bethesda’s most anticipated games these years, and were also expecting a few more reveals this year at E3 after The Elder Scrolls VI and Starfield were teased. However, the biggest disappointment (apart from Fallout 76) is that we won’t see the two games at E3 2019.
Nonetheless, Billionaire 365 has spotted some information from Bethesda boss Todd Howard who recently talked about the two projects in an interview with IGN.
The Elder Scrolls VI To Be A Game Played For a Decade “At Least”
You’re all asking yourselves what’s taking so long and why all the secrecy. Well, building the hype is part of the marketing, and fueling fans’ curiosity with some crumbles about the incoming titles is also a good strategy. Thanks to Howard’s interview this week, we learned a little more about The Elder Scrolls VI and Starfield.
For example, he mentioned that fans will be engaged in playing The Elder Scrolls Vi for at least a decade, following the longevity Skyrim had. For example, even though Skyrim was launched in 2011, it still is popular on all platforms and sells well.
When asked if The Elder Scrolls VI would get released a decade after The Elder Scrolls V, Todd said “I think everyone should be very patient.” He then adds that Elder Scrolls Online is “hugely popular” and the high quality content does feed fans enough Elder Scrolls content. However, players want that single player experience, adding that “it’s good to miss things,” and that it “makes people come with really really fresh eyes.”
He also noted that when players will “eventually see the game, what we have in mind, they’ll understand the gap more in terms of technology and what we wanted to do.”
Elder Scroll 6 Is Gonna Have to Wait a Little Bit – Starfield’s a Priority
Todd also explained that The Elder Scrolls 6 is going to have to wait until the devs are finished with Starfield.
Starfield is an epic sci-fi original IP that’s been Todd’s idea for the past years, and have begun developing it after Fallout 4. It will have its own tone as a science fiction title, and Todd wants to make Starfield THE ONE science fiction game everyone wants, hoping they can pull this off.
We won’t see the two being teased at E3 2019, but Bethesda will hold a briefing and announce other games and updates.
