NVIDIA’s Titan RTX, Its Upcoming Flagship GPU, Leaks On Social Media; Gets Promoted By A Cat

Well, it seems that various social media personalities have teased the Titan RTX which is NVIDIA’s next flagship graphics card.

It seems that this whole thing is nothing but a coordinated campaign. For instance, Google Brain co-founder Andrew Ng showed off the GPU on Twitter in a vanilla recruiting picture, Gavin Free teased a photo of the GPU on Instagram together with his cat, and Linus from Linus Tech Tips managed to “accidentally” pull the card out twice on his YouTube show.

So yeah, it’s probably not too far-fetched to say that this is a coordinated campaign to show off the new GPU.

On the other hand, they did not break any kind of NDA and what this means is that NVIDIA wants us to know very well that their card is real and the company is just trying to tease us and drum up the excitement for a much-awaited launch which will probably take place sooner rather than later.

Price, availability, specs

An exact date is not known just yet, and we don’t have any data on the specs and price either. Engadget is bold enough to guess all these three elements.

“The Titan RTX will likely pack 72 RT cores and 12GB of GDDR6 memory, according to previous leaks, besting the RTX 2080 Ti’s 68 RT cores and 11GB of GDDR6 memory. That’s a pretty modest bump over the current top-end model, but gamers who want the best will no doubt pay,” they write.

The price will probably be quite high. The last Titan XP model was released for $1,200, and the GTX 1080 was priced at $700 back in 2017. The RTX 2080 Ti is priced at $1,200, and probably the Titan RTX will be priced higher than that.

Regarding a potential launch date, the Titan XP was launched about two months after the 1080 Ti, and judging by that, the Titan RTX should be released really soon.
