England-based developer of the space exploration video game No Man’s Sky, Hello Games has recently announced the next free update for its game – No Man’s Sky: Beyond. This chapter will be comprised of three different updates and only the first one has been introduced: No Man’s Sky Online. Let’s take a look at what we know so far about it.
No Man’s Sky Online has just been announced
The update that has just been announced will apparently arrive this summer. However, the company has offered almost no information about what No Man’s Sky Online will involve. Hello Games did indicate, though, that players should expect a completely new multiplayer experience.
The developer mentioned that the upcoming update will basically allow players anywhere in the universe to gather and play together. But other than this, nothing else is specified, leaving everything to our imagination. “The changes are an answer to how we have seen people playing since the release of NEXT”, said the company.
Not much is currently known about No Man’s Sky: Beyond
NEXT was the fourth major update for the game and it was launched in 2018. Beyond will be the fifth big update for the game when it’s going to be released this summer. The previos update has brought multiplayer support for up to 16 players. As far as the new features in No Man’s Sky Online are concerned, we don’t really know what to expect. Hello Games did want to make it clear that the newest update will not turn the game into an MMO.
No Man’s Sky: Beyond will be available for free to current players, so no subscription fee will be needed to play. As we’ve mentioned before, other than Online, two more components of the Beyond chapter will follow. For now, no details are known about these two upcoming updates either.
