Nowadays all of the world’s biggest companies are launching smartphones that are equipped with the best hardware parts available on the market. While this might not be a bad anything any means, those high-end smartphones do ship with expensive price tags that make them inaccessible to most people. Fortunately, there are always other reliable smartphones that people can choose from and today we are going to compare two of the best, Nexus 5X and OnePlus 2.
Nexus 5X vs OnePlus 2
- Display Technology
Nexus 5X and OnePlus 2 are two of the best smartphones to launch in 2015 and they are ideal alternatives to Samsung, Google and Apple’s expensive flagships. Nexus 5X ships with a large 5.2-inches display that uses IPS LCD technology which offers a full HD 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. On the other hand, we have OnePlus 2 which is equipped with an even bigger 5.5-inches display that uses LTPS IPS LCD in order to offer the same full HD pixel resolution.
- Hardware Performances
Leaving the display technology aside, the hardware parts that are sitting beneath the hood are the most important ones. Nexus 5X is fueled by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808 CPU that clocks at 1.8GHz and it is also paired with 2GB of RAM. OnePlus 2 is fueled by the faster Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 CPU that clocks at 1.82GHz. This CPU is paired with 3GB/4GB of RAM!
Conclusion
Both smartphones are reliable and they offer powerful hardware performances accompanied by a premium user experience. However, the winner of our short comparison is OnePlus 2. Even though Nexus 5X was made by Google itself, OnePlus 2 is better in both the display technology and hardware performances and this is what really matters. Also, worth noting is that since both smartphones were released in 2015, they are not going to receive any security updates in the upcoming future.
