Seeing the teaser from Alibaba’s Min Zheng on Twitter, we cannot wait for the first iOS 12.1.2 public jailbreak.
In his tweet, he showed an iPhone 6s that ran iOS 12.1.2 (Build 16C101), proving through command line screenshots that it is an iOS 12 exploit. However, until now, there are only teasers and no official announcements on the iOS 12 jailbreak. But this doesn’t mean you cannot prepare to run it.
First of all, you should make sure you run an older iOS 11 version – which can be jailbroken at the moment, reports RedmondPie. Then you just have to keep your eyes peeled for the latest jailbreak tool. What will iOS 12.1.2 bring for iPhone users?
iOS 12.1.2 Update in Beta Testing
As for iOS 12 devices (iPhone X, iPad Air 2, iPhone 5s and more), developers and users that have enrolled in the Beta Software Program can take a look through the iOS 12.1.3 beta.
The iOS 12.1.2 will be a small update (less than 100 MB) that will fix some bugs.
What we really want to see in the iOS 12.1.2 update is the slider tool to sharpen or blur the photo background in real time just like users on Samsung Galaxy S9, and Samsung Galaxy Note 9 do it on their smartphones. According to Gotta be Mobile, the iOS 12.1.1 will also let users adjust the field of view in Portrait Mode.
The latest update will also come with 70 new emojis like curly haired, gray or red-haired emojis, lettuce, a moon cake, a cupcake and many more.
As for Zheng’s newly found exploit, even if doesn’t want to produce a jailbreak tool for the latest iOS< the jailbreak developers might want to use it. And if Apple fixes it in another update, there’s another one which was found by @S0rryMybad at the beginning of this month.
