It’s been more than five years since GTA 5 was released and fans are becoming more and more curious about how the next title of the popular series will be like. There hasn’t been any announcement or official confirmation about GTA 6 so far, but we know for sure that Rockstar is working on it. GTA 5 was a huge success, so there’s no reason why the company wouldn’t return to the series. Let’s take a look at what we know so far about the upcoming title.
Possible locations for GTA 6
We’ve seen plenty of rumors about the possible location for GTA 6 circulating on the internet, so this is quite a big mystery for now.
One of the most common theories so far is that GTA 6 will return to Vice City, but we cannot know for sure whether this is going to happen or not.
There have also been rumors suggesting that the setting of the upcoming title will be Liberty City or a completely new location.
What do we know about the protagonist in the upcoming game?
In GTA 5 we had the option to choose between three different protagonists. Rockstar might stick with this system or could return to the single-protagonist system. We don’t know yet. One of the most common rumors about this subject that we’ve seen online is that the game will feature a female protagonist for the first time ever.
Some rumors also suggest that the multiple-protagonist system will come back to the game, but with two characters instead of three.
Expected release date for GTA 6
One thing we know for sure at the moment – that GTA 6 will not arrive this year or in this console generation. This means that we will have to wait for the next Xbox or the PS5 in order to play the much-awaited game.
The next console generation is expected to arrive sometime in 2020 or 2021, so that’s when we might see GTA 6 being released.
