The update is rolling out starting today (May 10th) and it is arriving via OTA (over the air) channels. APK is a special update format that Google uses whenever it releases a new update. The update’s acronym stands for “Android Package Kit” and therefore, it can only be installed on Android powered devices. However, there is a trick to making Android devices eligible for APK releases. The trick is to head over to the “Settings” panel and then to enable the “Unknown Sources” option.
