Google has recently added three new features to Gmail, so those of you who use it very often should be quite happy about this news. Thanks to the new additions, this popular free email service will become even easier to use. Let’s see what’s new.
Undo/Redo button added to Gmail
The new editing features are extremely helpful, especially for users who compose emails frequently. The first feature that Google added is very common in word processors. We’re talking now about the undo/redo button that is definitely going to be very useful when composing new emails. So from now on, if you delete something that you just wrote by mistake, you can easily go back to undo your action. You will have the option to redo something as well, in case you need to do so.
The new shortcuts can be now noticed to the bottom left of the formatting menu, which can be seen at the bottom of the Gmail compose window.
Strikethrough button – something that users requested before
The second addition to Gmail is a feature that apparently has been requested before by many users: a strikethrough button. This new feature is also something that we are used to see in word processors and can prove to be very helpful in various situations. This button can put a line through your text, so it can be used if you want to emphasize a change in thought or if you just simply need to mark some task that has been completed. The strikethrough feature is located on the right-hand side of the formatting menu.
Gmail users can easily download emails as .EML files
The third and last new feature is about downloading emails, not about editing them. Users of Gmail can now download emails as .EML files from the web. This can be done by simply clicking the three-dot menu and then the “download message” option.
