We have great news for Fortnite fans, as account merging support is finally available for the game. This means that players will now be able to use the same account, together with its cosmetics and VBucks on multiples consoles. The news is official and even though it will probably take a few weeks to have access to the inventory, at least it’s happening.
What you need to know about the account merger
Based on the announcement made by Epic Games on their official website, once a player is merging the accounts, VBucks and in-game items from other accounts will apparently be held for two weeks before they will be merged to the main account.
Some other important information that you must be aware of is that from the accounts that you wish to merge, one of them must have played on either the Xbox One or Switch, and the other one on PlayStation 4, before the 28th of September, 2018, in order for you to be eligible for this account merger.
Also, players will need to have access to all the email addresses that are associated with the account they want to merge.
Save the World and Battle Royale players
When it comes to Save the World players, they will be able to merge their Llamas, Defenders, Heroes, Schematics, Survivors, XP, Evolution and Perk Materials. As far as Battle Royale players are concerned, they may merge all the cosmetic items that they have.
If you’re also curious about other items, such as the Creative Islands, Unreal Marketplace items, and Save the World progress and account level, they will not be merged over to your primary account from the secondary one.
Lastly, it goes without saying that your account has to be active, so banned or disabled accounts will not be able to do any of these things.
