Facebook is the world’s biggest social media platform with more than two billion people using it every single month. However, this doesn’t mean that Facebook is the perfect app by any means. Facebook is infamous for using up lots of mobile data in order to load the newsfeed and to make things even worse, the social media app requires powerful hardware specs in order to run at peak performance levels. This means that Facebook is going to be laggy for people who use entry-level smartphones.
Luckily, the developers who are in charge of Facebook know that not everyone can afford to spend hundreds of dollars on the latest smartphone from Samsung for example and this is why they also created Facebook Lite. This is a lightweight version of the social media app which has been designed to run on reliable specs and to not use up too much mobile data. To top it all off, Facebook Lite benefits from the same full-fledged developer support as the original app does.
Facebook Lite 143.0.0.13.111 Beta
As previously mentioned, Facebook Lite benefits from full-fledged developer support. This means that Facebook Lite is updated nearly every day and in fact, a brand-new update has recently arrived. The update sports the 143.0.0.13.111 beta version number and as you can tell from its version number, the only Facebook Lite users who can download and install it right now are those who are enrolled in the Facebook Beta Program.
On the other hand, Facebook Lite users are not required to enroll in the beta program. The reason why we are saying this is because the update is also going to be rolled out via OTA (over the air) channels to every Facebook Lite user. However, the developers of Facebook Lite are going to wait at least one week before they do this so that the update can come out of the beta phase.
