Bethesda’s main expected games, Elder Scrolls 6 and Starfield are reportedly not going to be announced at the E3 2019. The games won’t appear during Bethesda’s press conference either or show up at the exhibition hall.
It is not clear when these games will be officially shown, but that doesn’t mean that in the meantime, the game studio is hiding all the details of the projects. Bethesda’s director and executive producer Todd Howard talked a bit about both games in a detailed interview with IGN this week.
Elder Scrolls 6 Would Be A Long-Lasting Game
Regarding The Elder Scrolls 6, Howard stated that the company is making the game to be played for at least ‘a decade.’ He wants the title to live long, just like The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim has. The title was launched in 2011, and it still is extremely popular and sells well on every platform the company brings it to, Howard stated.
The release date of The Elder Scrolls 6 is unknown, but the director says players will understand why it’s taking so long as soon as Bethesda eventually unveils it. The only media announcement for The Elder Scrolls 6 unveiled this far is the blunt teaser from last year’s E3.
The game will most probably launch on next-generation consoles, the director has said in the past and confirmed again in the IGN interview.
Starfield To Be A Unique Sci-Fi Game
Coming to Starfield, Howard said that the game would have its own tone regarding its sci-fi theme. The title will reportedly differentiate from the other sci-fi games on the market.
Howard has also stated in the interview that the game studio knew it wanted Starfield to be its next title after Fallout 4 and that the work on the game is now in process in all of the developer’s North American studios. Concerning the release schedule, Starfield will be launched first and then The Elder Scrolls VI, at least as the current plan shows.
Even though Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6 will not make an appearance at E3 2019, the company will still prepare a briefing where it will unveil other games and make more announcements.
