As usual, Los Angeles will host Electronic Arts’ annual EA PLAY event before the start of E3 2019, but this time the show is going to be much different compared to the past events. Instead of its traditional press conference, EA will introduce a series of live streams.
What to expect from EA PLAY this year
In their announcement, EA said that during this year’s event we are going to see “less talk and more play, with an event entirely focused on the heartbeat of EA PLAY: our player communities and the games they love.” Talking about the most important aspects of EA PLAY 2019, the publisher said that all fans will be provided with “first hands-on with some of our biggest games and exclusive content from some of the most popular creators in the world.” The company added that participation in this event will be free of cost for all interested.
There will be no press conference this year
The EA PLAY 2019 is scheduled to begin on Friday night, June 7th, with a completely new format of the kickoff event. “We’re skipping the press conference this year and are replacing it with multiple live streams that will air during the first two days of the event, bringing you more of what you’ve told us you want – more gameplay and insights from the teams making the games,” EA announced to the world.
Other events during the EA PLAY 2019
The next two days in the schedule, Saturday and Sunday, will be occupied by the EA PLAY’s fanfest, which is set to take place at the Hollywood Palladium. This free-to-attend event will give all fans the opportunity to take a first glance at EA’s recently released and upcoming titles.
The annual E3 event will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center, it is set to begin on Tuesday, June 11, and it will last until Thursday, June 13.
