We assume Rockstar Games are too busy with Red Dead Redemption 2 release to work on Grand Theft Auto 6. Red Dead Redemption 2 was announced in October 2016 and has taken an extra two years to finally come out. Rockstar said that the game required more polish and fixing, but some analysts believe that the game’s online mode was creating some problems as well.
Since Grand Theft Auto 5 was a huge success when it was launched, even got into some Guinness World Records, the Rockstar Company cannot just stop here.
Doug Creutz, industry analyst reported that the game made so much money that passed any media title in history.
“I think it’s a wild outlier. I think maybe with the exception something Nintendo has made—Mario Brothers—but aside from that there’s never been a console game that’s sold so many units,” Creutz said for MarketWatch in April.
Evan Wingren, the KeyBanc analyst even said that video games are much more profitable than movies due to their interactive system, attracting the costumers.
The Grand Theft Auto games are too popular and bring too much money not to be continued. But it is possible that if Red Dead Redemption 2 will face a big success, that the Rockstar Games would get Grand Theft Auto 6 out of the plan. But why will they do that knowing the number of fans the game has and also the company can benefit from both games. In any case, fans will have to wait until 2020 or 2021 for GTA 6 to come out.
“And I believe that Red Dead Redemption 2 will shatter expectations and that the online experience also will be extraordinary, but unexpected. And my view is that all great hits are, by their very nature, unexpected.” Strauss Zelnick, the Take-Two’s CEO reported.
