Supercell teams for Clash of Clans, Clash Royale and Brawl Stars are working continuously to update, add and fix their games. We’ve seen new content and balancing in Clash Royale – and we’re waiting for that new card on Valentine’s Day. We got the New Lunar Year event in Clash of Clans, and now in Brawl Stars, everyone is waiting for Gene, the new Mythical Brawler Support.
Brawl Stars: Gene, the Mythical Brawler
Last week we had an optional update that brought some gameplay changes, matchmaking improvements and bug fixes. A couple of days ago, the matchmaking system got reverted for Boss Fight after players encountered a bug.
In the video Brawl Stars: Brawl Talk Update! Ryan (community) and Frank (game lead) announced everything we should expect to see at the end of January and mid-February. Among all the balance changes to Brawlers and Maps, we will see the new content – three of them are already here, and we’ll get three more this week with Valentine’s Day approaching – we’re looking at you, Valentine’s Day Poco!
According to Frank, we should see Gene appear in an update in February – the “mid of the month.”
Mythical Gene Guide: When and How to Play the New Support?
According to Brawl Stars’ game update news, the new brawler will be “coming soon,” and it will be used as a support brawler:
- Gene is a versatile supporter who can engage enemies at any range!
- Gene’s Super launches a magical hand from his lamp, dragging an enemy to his location!
But let’s look at his stats:
As you can see, Gene comes with a basic attack which is ranged – it launches a ball of magic smoke and will spread in a cone if it doesn’t hit an enemy. This means he is excellent at crowd control and his super is a game changer, by plucking an enemy from afar and dragging it to him, where Gene’s teammates can do the rest – just don’t pull the wrong enemy!
Gene is thus perfect for Gem Grab mode to grab the player that has the most gems. The normal attack has a great range, and his magic puff is a boon to the team.
