If until now, we only had assumptions about the game’s existence, we are now sure that Baldur’s Gate III will be soon available on PC and Google Stadia.
The Belgian Larian studios, known for the Divinity series of computer RPGs, officially announced that they are working on Baldur’s Gate III. It’s been 19 years since the release of BioWare’s Baldur’s Gate II. We also found out that the Larian team is working closely with the Dungeons & Dragons team at the Wizards of the Coast.
The new game will have a rich narrative with bigger freedom of the player, important decision to make, unique characters and some pretty awesome combat. You will have the option to play it in a single-player adventure mode or with friends in the multi-player mode.
Baldur’s Gate III Will Come Out To PC and Google Stadia
When Google announced Google Stadia’s prices, it also announced that the new Baldur’s Gate III title will be available on Stadia, news confirmed by Larian saying that we will play the game on Windows PCs. Larian isn’t saying anything about the date release so we’ll have to stick to the rumors and follow the upcoming news over the course of the year.
The creative director of the Larian studios, Swen Vincke, told us, in an interview with USGamer, that the fifth-edition Dungeons &Dragons had played a major role with its easier-to-explain rules in creating the streamline of Baldur’s Gate III. The action of the game will take place 100 years after the original game, having some reminders to the original game.
Vincke also stated: “we’re going to have some things that you haven’t seen yet in CRPG’s, which I would love to talk about, but I’m going to hold it”, so it’s possible to not have the same isometric perspective as the previous versions of the game.
