Foldable phones could be the next big thing in the history of phones, considering all the hype that’s around these mobile devices.
Such phones from Samsung and other tech giants are indeed exciting, and they managed to trigger an interest in the gadget world which hasn’t been seen for quite a while.
With such a massive hype around the subject, it’s not a surprise that there are more and more speculations popping up about the fact that Apple could join the gang and create its very own foldable iPhone.
Steve Wozniak wants a foldable iPhone
BGR notes that back in February, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak said that he wants Apple to hop in the foldable wagon as well.
“Apple has been a leader for quite a long time in a few areas such as Touch ID, (Face ID) and easy payment with the phone,” Wozniak said during the Bloomberg interview.
He continued and said that “They’re not the leader in areas like the folding phone, and that worries me because I really want a folding phone.”
More than that, it’s also important to mention the fact that Apple also has a few patents which seem to hint at foldable iPhone devices.
But this is not enough to hope that we’ll be buying foldable iPhones for our loved ones for Christmas, because Apple “routinely files patents for products and technologies that never see the light of day,” as BGR puts it.
A concept for a foldable iPhone surfaces
The online magazine brings a recent example of a foldable iPhone concept design coming from ConceptsiPhone which they say might be the best one yet.
“The device imagined up here, dubbed the iPhone X Fold, is remarkably sleek and stands in stark contrast to Samsung’s bulky Galaxy Fold. Even the concept packaging on this mythical device looks pretty cool,” they write.
Of course, Samsung has a real device that they managed to create, but still, this fantastical design is pretty neat, we have to admit.
