You’re probably confused with all the release dates announced for Anthem so far – which is understandable since it has different release days for some platforms, and then there are the early access options, which also come with a different schedule.
It’s been a long time since we’ve waited for Anthem – considering the development began before Destiny rolled out. And it’s obvious everyone is excited to finally play it.
However, there’s some bad news for PlayStation 4 users, as they will have to wait for the full game a few more days.
If you’re a PC gamer, and got the Origin Access Premier, you should already have the full game, since it was released on 15 February. Origin Access Basic (PC) and EA Access (Xbox One) had a window of 10-hour Trial on 15 February.
Standard and Legion of Dawn Editions of Anthem – Release Date
If you’ve lost that opportunity, then you will have to wait until 22 February until the full game is released on all platforms – Xbox One, PS4, and PC, both the Standard and Legion of Dawn editions.
If you have pre-ordered Anthem (the Standard or the Legion of Dawn edition), you will be able to play the game on 21-22 February (depending on your geographical location): at 9 pm PST on February 21, 12 am EST on February 22, or 5 am GMT on February 22.
Seeing these different pre-releases is not so weird, and EA isn’t the only developer doing it. For example, as Screen Rant notes, we’ve seen Ubisoft’s The Division 2, which should be released next month – and the release date also depends on what version you’re getting. Nonetheless, without all the early access, players will not be able to enjoy either Anthem or The Division 2 before the official release date.
In conclusion, you’ll get to start your amazing adventure and choose your favorite Javelin on 22 February, which is only a few days away!
