Android updates have become more efficient when it comes to reaching multiple devices in shorter periods of time. Android users definitely remember how much time they had to wait until an Android update reached all compatible devices. Compared to that, Android Pie is definitely moving faster.
Nokia 5.1. Plus is the latest device to receive the Android Pie update. The smartphone was released back in August and it came with Android 8.1. Now the latest Android update is also rolling out for it. “Hope you left some space for dessert! We are now starting @Android 9 rollout for #Nokia5Plus ? #nokiamobile,” tweeted Juho Sarvikas, the Chief Product Officer at HMD Global.
The Nokia 5.1. Plus is powered by the MediaTek Helio P60, it comes with 32 GB of storage, 3 GB of RAM and a 3,060 mAh battery.
The Android Pie update
This new Android update brings several new features, and you should get it right away. However, there is one addition that we must mention when it comes to Nokia phones. That is the Pro Camera Mode. The impressive quality of the cameras has always been an advantage for Nokia.
“We know that ? left already but he left one more gift behind before going back home to Korvatunturi Finland ?? – Based on popular demand, Pro Camera is now available on Nokia 5.1 Plus Android 9 release and Nokia 6.1 Plus December release!,” added Juho Sarvikas on Twitter.
The update will become available for all Nokia 5.1. Plus devices but you need to be patient. This is a phased rollout which means that it will reach devices gradually. The OTA will arrive on all devices, but not at once, so you might have to wait until the update gets on your phone.
