If your daily carrier is a OnePlus 3 or OnePlus 3T, then you should be happy to know that the Chinese based tech giant has started recruiting beta testers for Android 9.0 Pie. This means that OnePlus is currently adding the finishing touches to Android 9.0 Pie in order to roll it out to OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. This is great news because Android 9.0 Pie is Google’s latest operating system and it comes with a plethora of new features and software improvements.
Android 9.0 Pie is Coming
“Latest Update: Hey guys, we found some issues in the Google CTS. Our software team is working on them and we will have another round of CTS very soon. Considering HydrogenOS doesn’t have to pass the CTS, we may release Pie beta based on HydrogenOS early this week,” said David Y. who is the OnePlus Community Manager.
We believe that the OnePlus Community Manager made it clear that a major Android 9.0 Pie based software update is going to arrive to OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T during the upcoming future. There is only issue that the developers need to fix before rolling out the update and this won’t take longer than a couple of days.
OnePlus 3T Overview
Since we are talking about OnePlus’s smartphone lineup from 2016, let’s take a closer look at OnePlus 3T’s hardware specs in order to remind ourselves of what kind of performances this smartphone has to offer. OnePlus 3T is equipped with a 5.5-inches Optic AMOLED display that features a pixel resolution of 1080 x 1920 and a pixel density of 401ppi. If we take a look at OnePlus 3T’s internal hardware, we are going to see that the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 CPU. This is an octa-core CPU that clocks at 2.35GHz.
