If you just got a new Android phone and want the same apps you had on the old one but without having to install them all over again, there are simple steps you can take to move apps from Android to Android.

Whether you successfully backed up your old phone or not, you need to make sure you back up the app data so you can save any game progress, and access browser data, chat history and more.

The instructions we outline below apply to Android Pie, Oreo, and Nougat, regardless of the phone brand.

The easiest method to do this is using the Android Backup and Restore feature so you can move apps from Android to Android.
