We have recently received the confirmation that they have been waiting for a long time. The launch date for the phone has been made public.
CNET has recently revealed that this year Samsung managed to steal the show at CES 2019 and they announced the launch of the new Galaxy phone.
“The event will take place Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 11 a.m. PT at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco,” CNET reveals.
More than this, Tech Radar reports that the phone could reportedly be called Samsung Galaxy S10 X. This is according to a report coming from ETNews which notes that “‘X’ both emphasizes that this is the tenth anniversary of the Galaxy range (as if the ten in the name didn’t already do that), and also stands for “eXperience” and “eXpansion”.
According to the same report mentioned by Tech Radar, the phone will be probably landing in South Korea on March 29, but it’s not very clear whether the device becomes available anywhere else on that specific date.
Previous rumors have been suggesting that the model would be only reaching the US and South Korea.
Expensive phone, but with top quality specs and features
The phone will sport a really expensive price tag: around $1,425-$1,600.
The device’s alleged features and specs may justify the phone’s high price. Just take a look at its specs as they have been reported by Gizmodo:
“The S10 X will supposedly come with four cameras in back along with two on the front, a massive 6.7-inch AMOLED display, 10GB of RAM along with 1TB of storage, and a 5,000 mAh battery. As for its chipset, it seems the S10 X will come with an Exynos 5100 processor in Korea,” Gizmodo notes.
When the S10 X reaches the U.S. it might come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. We’ll have to wait some more and see for sure what the new phone brings.
