This update acronym stands for “Android Package Kit” and there are a couple of things that Android fans need to do in order to make their smartphones compatible with APKs.
Everyone who wants to install APK updates is required to manually download them. The reason behind this is that APK updates are not released via OTA (over the air) channels and they are published directly on Google’s APK website. Furthermore, all Android fans need to enable the “Unknown Sources” option from the Privacy panel of their smartphones because the update is not being released via the Google Play Store.
