Apple Warns That Its iPhones Have A Severe Issue After Ditching Sales Reports

Apple decided to no longer report iPhone sales, and this led to people thinking that the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR are definitely in some kind of trouble.

Apple had to admit that there’s a sever hardware-related problem with its game-changing model, reports Forbes.

Apple warns customers about its devices

Apple warned its clients that iPhone X models “may experience touch issues due to a component that might fail on the display module.”

Apple says this means “The display, or part of the display, does not respond or responds intermittently to touch” and potentially “The display reacts even though it was not touched.”

Forbes continues and explains that there’s also some good news, as the display problems are easy to spot and if your iPhone X is affected, then “Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider will replace the display module on eligible devices, free of charge.”

Increased repair costs

Apple also warned that iPhone X owners who have any damage with their devices that impairs the ability to complete the repair (cracked screen, and more) should know that this issue will have to be resolved before taking the device to solve the other problems.

This means that in some cases there will be an increased cost associated with the additional repair.

Everyone knows that iPhone repair costs are massive. Another thing worth noting is that Apple will also update your iPhone to the latest version of their iOS before you get your phone back.

“More notable is Apple’s latest warning means serious hardware faults have now affected the iPhone X, iPhone 8 (details), iPhone 7 (details) and iPhone 6 (details). That kind of track record is not going to help boost Apple’s newly secretive iPhones sales, especially on the back of major carriers pulling eSim support…” Forbes concludes.
