We have some amazing news for all Asus fans who purchased ZenFone Max Pro M2 last year. Asus has announced that the 2018 flagship smartphone is next in line to get Google’s latest Android 9.0 Pie update. The beta version of the operating system has already started rolling out in India and once the testing phase is finished, Asus is going to release the update OTA (over the air) globally.
ZenFone Max Pro M2 is Getting Android 9.0 Pie
“Asus unveils the Beta Power User Program giving access to early updates for feedback and testing so that the official Android Pie update is served as delicious and stable,” said Asus in its latest blog post.
The fact that Android 9.0 Pie is currently available in the beta form for ZenFone Max Pro M2 shows us that Asus is getting ready to release the major update and that it wants to check to see if there are any bugs before it does it.
How to Enlist for the Beta Program
ZenFone Max Pro M2 users who live in India and want to give Android 9.0 Pie a try before the final version of the operating system gets rolled out OTA should be pleased to know that everyone can enlist in the Beta Program.
The only tricky part about enlisting in the Beta Program for ZenFone Max Pro M2 is that all interested users will need to share their IMEI number and current firmware version with Asus so that they can be signed up to become beta testers.
After ZenFone Max Pro M2 users send Asus all the required information, the tech giant is going to respond with an email informing them that they have been accepted in the Beta Program and that Android 9.0 Pie is going to arrive on their smartphones.
