I believe that many of us increased the timeout duration or the brightness of the Samsung Galaxy’s screen and in many cases we forget to turn it back off. The increase brightness of the screen is affecting the battery life of the device so it is a pretty serious issue.
Well, we are happy to announce that Xiaomi had released its new update A1 Android Pie Update on Android 9 Pie which comes with useful new features. One of them is the option of setting the screen brightness, timeout duration, and media volume to automatically reset. The option is called Optimize setting and it is in the advanced battery settings.
If you are using the Android Pie beta in order to find the Optimize settings option:
- Go to Settings app
- Tap Device care
- Click on the Battery option
- .Tap the three-dot button at the top right of the screen
- Click on the Settings
The new One UI/Android Pie updated also comes with a new Samsung Keyboard feature which is a floating keyboard mode. This mode has been available on Samsung devices for some years ago but the company wanted to improve the software. With the new Samsung Keyboard feature you can reduce or increase the size of the keyboard, the transparency or move it around the screen just by using your fingers. To do so, go to the mode selection menu and chose the Size and Transparency option. If you want to go back to you original standard keyboard you can do so from the same menu. There is also an option for one hand keyboard.
If you want to get the Samsung Keyboard floating mode on the Galaxy S9 or Galaxy S9+ with the Android Pie beta just follow these steps:
- Click on the down-pointing arrow icon on the keyboard
- Tap Modes
- Follow up by tapping the Floating keyboard option
