The Elder Scrolls 6 is a game highly anticipated by most gamers. However, despite the fact that we already waited a couple of years for it, it appears that we have to wait even more. Nonetheless, this doesn’t mean that the upcoming game is a complete mystery.
What’s next?
We did receive a couple of details about the Elder Scrolls 6. First of all, we know that the game will be released after Starfield will be launched. “A couple of years ago I talked to Todd [Howard] about clarifying with everybody that TES6 was not going to be our next game, and we had two other big games that we wanted to do first. So we had already put that out there several years ago, but we were very vague on what those other two titles were,” explained VP of Marketing Pete Hines.
Hines also added that he wanted to make things clear for their fans. “So it was just in conversations with him [and] folks on my team to say, look, why don’t we consider putting out a little bit more of a roadmap for the studio that explains to folks, ‘Here’s what we’re doing—yes, we’re making this game called Starfield and here’s what it is, and yes, we’re going to make Elder Scrolls 6, but we have these other two games to develop and make first.’ It’s just so that folks have a better sense of where we are and where we’re headed.”
Howard however decided to be more mysterious. In 2016 he declared that they are not working on the 6tth game of the series. Pete Hines was the one that added “not yet” so that fans of the franchise don’t lose their hope. Since Fallout 76 was released, we are pretty sure that the Elder Scrolls 6 will follow after the Starfield release.
