Sony celebrates that PlayStation managed to surpass Microsoft’s Xbox and this is an important milestone.
Now, Sony Playstation is the dominant hardware maker in the video game market. The tech giant surpassed Microsoft during this generation after it lagged during the PS3 and Xbox 360 period.
The PS4 and PS4 Pro games include some top exclusives, and it was recently reported that more than 84 million consoles had been sold so far.
Now, according to the latest predictions, PS4 outsold the lifetime sales of the Xbox 360.
Analysts are estimating that the PS4 managed to sell more than 86 million units by the end of November and it beat the Xbox 360’s over 85 million units.
It’s also worth noting that Uncharted 4 is one of the best selling first-party titles of this generation for PlayStation.
So many more consoles have been sold since the game was released and with titles such as The Last of Us Part 2 to come, it really looks like this record could be still broken.
