During CES 2019, a Samsung exec said that the company’s foldable phone will be released sometime in the first half of 2019, but this was not something entirely new.
Since that announcement, it was revealed that the phone would be launched during the Galaxy S10 Unpacked event that’s scheduled to take place in San Francisco in February. Now, a new leak mentioned by BGR claims that the foldable phone will be released as soon as late March or early in April.
The online magazine cites the Italian blog Tutto Android which seems to have disclosed the alleged prices for the complete Galaxy S10 lineup.
They also revealed the RAM and storage for the future Samsung flagship. It seems that the news about the Galaxy F comes from the very same source.
Galaxy Fold release details leaked
The site calls the phone Galaxy Fold and it seems that it will be released in Italy towards the end of March or in early April.
BGR writes that “the phone will retail for around €2,000 ($2,272) in the market.”
The online tech publication also makes this observation: “The price is nothing new. Previous rumors did say the phone will be more expensive than regular smartphones, mentioning the price will go anywhere from $1,500 to $2,000.”
The Italian blog does not provide detailed pricing and this can only suggest that the tech giant and partners are still working on pricing the device.
More European markets could get the phone in April
The blog proves an earlier release date for the phone than everyone would have expected.
If this turns out to be accurate, probably more European markets will get the phone at least in April.
Regarding the Galaxy S10, Tech Radar reports that the phone could reportedly be called Samsung Galaxy S10 X.
This is according to a report coming from ETNews which notes that “‘X’ both emphasizes that this is the tenth anniversary of the Galaxy range (as if the ten in the name didn’t already do that), and also stands for “eXperience” and “eXpansion”.
