The Red Dead Redemption follow-up is due to release on the 26th of October. Even though Rockstar Games – the developer – are known for avoiding leaks almost religiously (aside from previews and footage that it allows), the internet kept going at it.
What happened?
It seems that some Red Dead Redemption 2 gameplay footage has just been leaked. This is coming from a video that was posted at first on ResetEra – a popular gaming forum – and then on Reddit.
What does the video show?
Those that watched the video could see Arthur Morgan, the game’s protagonist, riding a horse while shooting enemy cowboys. There seems to be a killcam incorporated inside the game which will give you a unique view of the carnage you will cause. The gory, brutal violence will be observed from multiple angles.
Where can we see it?
It seems that this clip can work as another trailer for the game since it boasts the game’s smooth visuals and slick animations. For sure, Rockstar Games will try to get rid of this video from the internet, but for now, you can find it online.
Here’s what we knew so far
Recently, the game’s developer showed us what to expect from this style of play and, to say the least, it looks interesting. This refurbished Dead Eye shooting mechanism was present in the first version as well.
To give you something to compare it two, remember the ‘Point Shooting’ in Hitman Absolution or the mark and execute system from Splinter Cell: Blacklist. Rockstar Games said that this style of shooting would evolve as you make your progress, leading to some encounters filled with actions.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is almost upon us. We just have to wait a few more days to find out exactly what this game has to offer.
