Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid Comes Next Week to Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PS4

The first time we heard about the fighting game Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid this year was when it was announced a couple of months ago, but who was expecting to see it released so soon?

The first trailer was just a few months ago!

Fortunately, for the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One players, the game will be released on 26 March. On 28 March, PS4 players in Europe will be able to play it, and on 2 April, it will be available for PS4 players in America. The PC version of the game should be available this summer.

If you were wondering why the different release dates, the developer nWay stated that they wanted to release the game as soon as possible, and have “worked with each platform owner to try to make that happen,” and the dates “reflect those results.”

Fighting game fans are surely waiting for Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid to be released. By the looks of it, the game is similar to Marvel vs. Capcom 3 or Dragon Ball FighterZ. You can play 3v3, and there’s also a backstory – you must defeat Lord Drakkon.

Jason Bischoff, the Power Rangers Franchise Creative Director for Hasbro, wrote at the beginning of January a few details about the game:‏

  • -#BattlefortheGrid = new #powerrangers fighting game!
  • CONSOLE
  • Cross platform combat
  • PvP AND single story mode
  • NOT a port of Legacy Wars
  • No cards
  • No f2p
  • DLC bonus content
  • New moves
  • New characters
  • New skins

We’ll soon see if the plot is better than the other fighting games.

Power Rangers fans will surely want to play this game, but we also recommend you to see some reviews first. Nonetheless, the game doesn’t cost much, and it is a great way to fight boredom until Mortal Kombat 11 gets released.

Will you “Go-Go Power Rangers” next week?
