It seems that just yesterday we received the latest iPhones. However, 2019 is just around the corner, which means that we are already speculating about the iPhones that we will receive this year. The next iPhone lineup is supposed to come with several improvements. Their names remain a mystery. Some people have guessed that they might be named iPhone XI, iPhone X2 or iPhone 11, but nothing has been confirmed so far.
New leaks
Ice Universe (@UniverseIce) is a well-known leaker and he had some interesting details to share with us. It appears that he has some information regarding the design of the next iPhones. According to Ice universe, the notch design will still exist in 2019. However, it appears that we might get the “hole in display” in 2020.
As far as I know, the 2019 iPhone still uses Notch, and in 2020 will use hole in display.

The leaker has a solid reputation so we have plenty of reasons to take into consideration this information. As always, there is no source for the details he shared. Ice universe has a nice track record when it comes to this kind of leaks. In the past he posted leaks for various smartphones, including Samsung, Huawei, Vivo, ZTE and others.
Hole-punch display
The hole Ice universe mentions is commonly known as the punch hole and it already exists in smartphones such as the Huawei Nova 4. Basically the front camera is situated in a “hole” inside the screen. This makes the display of the smartphone a lot larger and it gets rid of the notch. It has been reported that Samsung will use this technology as well, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see it implemented for iPhones too.
