iOS 13 Rumors: Dropping Support For iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, 6 Plus, And iPhone SE?

iOS 13 is the most important system operating update that Apple will release this year. 9to5mac‘s sources said that this new update would be introducing a lot of cool features for the operating system.

Eliminating compatibility for iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and iPhone SE?

Mac Rumors writes a piece about a questionable rumor that claims iOS 13 will not be compatible with the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, or iPhone SE.

More than that, the claim says that support for the original iPad Air and iPad mini 2 will also be dropped.

These really hard to believe rumors have been spread by French blog iPhoneSoft.fr which reportedly tipped the online publication mentioned above.

Mac Rumors writes that this is at least the second time this year when they’re hearing the rumor, but they also make sure to highlight the fact that this remains questionable for more reasons.

For starters, they write that the “iPhone SE uses the same A9 chip as the iPhone 6s and the fifth-generation iPad, so it would seem inconsistent if the iPhone SE was dropped but the latter two devices remained supported.”

The online publication continues and says that Apple might want to drop support for iOS devices which have displays of 14 inches, and these include the iPhone 5s and SE.

But there’s some inconsistency here because the sixth-gen iPod touch will allegedly run the iOS 13.

The rumor will change the game if it turns out to be an accurate one, as you can imagine because there are millions of people who are using the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus devices.

On the other hand, the iPhone SE was released back in March 2016, so it’s still pretty fresh, so to speak.

iOS 13 new concept

iOS 13 was in the spotlight recently again when a new concept popped up.

Now, 9to5Mac details a brand new concept that imagines what iOS 13 might look like on the iPad.

This concept includes new navigation features, mouse support, and more interesting features.
