On 19th of December, almost one month ago, developers received the new iOS 12.1.3 developer beta 2. The update is both mysterious and interesting as it is the predecessor of the suddenly released iOS 12.1.2.
Many people were convinced that the release day of iOS 12.1.3 public beta 2 would be the same as iOS 12.1.3 developer beta’s one as it is the second beta version as well. However, it did not happen until the following day as this is the case of a first beta version. If you want to upgrade your iPhone to iOS 12.1.3, you must be on the public beta. If you are not, then you can’t do so.
IOS has finally received an incremental update, the 12.1.3 developer beta 2 which will make sure that some of the bugs users were not happy with will be fixed. Regarding this version’s notes are similar to the previous update’s.
Only registered developers with valid configuration profiles can take advantage of the new update and download it for their iPhone. The software can update overnight if you have iOS 12’s “Automatic Updates” enabled. If you need to install it manually, all you need to do is launch the Settings app, then go to General and tap on Software Update. Now you need to hit that Download and Install button and follow the instructions that will be shown on your device.
The iOS 12.1.2 official version for iPhones dealt with the bugs that were affecting the eSIM iPhones. This update has been awaited for a while especially by the carriers that are now adopting the new dual-SIM feature for iPhone XS Max, XS, and XR. Even though the 12.1.3 developer beta 2 does not look too promising, it might be as effective as the previous one.
