The new models of the iPad and the iPad Pro were released this year, and you can see that there are completely different. The latest iPad Pro brought some major improvements compared to the iPad tablet that was released the same year. Let’s see how they are different.
Specs
Let’s start by taking a brief look at the models released this year. The iPad has a 9.7in 2048×1536 pixel at 264 ppi display, while the iPad Pro display is 11in 2388 × 1668 pixel at 264 pixels per inch or 12.9in 2732×2048 pixel at 264 pixels per inch. They are both available in Silver and Space Grey, and there is also a Gold option for the iPad.
When it comes to the cameras, the iPad has a front 1.2MP 720p HD camera and a rear 8MP 1080p HD camera, while the iPad Pro has a front 7MP 1080p HD camera and a rear 12MP, 4k HD camera with Quad-LED True Tone flash. In terms of storage, for the iPad you can choose between 32 or 128 GB, while the iPad Pro storage can have 64, 256, 512GB or 1TB.
Storage
The storage difference is one of the biggest ones. If you take a look closely you can see that the iPad has the storage options that are missing for the iPad Pro. We should also mention once again the fact that the iPad Pro has a 1 TB storage option, which is a lot.
The design
Apple also made the design for these two completely different. The regular iPad still has the Touch ID home button and it has thicker bezels. Meanwhile, the new iPad Pro brings Face ID and it has edge-to-edge displays.
Camera
The cameras are also different. The iPad Pro has a flash for the rear camera, and it comes with a 5 MP front camera and a 12 MP rear one. Meanwhile, the iPad has a 1.2 MP front camera and an 8 MP rear one.
