The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was a huge success and it was considered one of the greatest games to have ever been released. It was definitely one of the most popular games of the last console generation.
We know now from Bethesda that The Elder Scrolls VI is in the process of being developed, but we will probably not get to see it for a few more years. The developers know that the next title of the Elder Scrolls series needs to surpass Skyrim, so they have a lot of work to do. Let’s take a look at how we think The Elder Scrolls VI could improve from Skyrim.
Players should be allowed to craft their own spells
This is probably one of the features that fans missed the most in Skyrim. Having the possibility to craft your own spells allows you to be creative, so being able to personalize your spells is definitely one the main features that we would like to have back in The Elder Scrolls VI. This feature was heavily requested by fans and everyone would be more than happy to see it again in the game.
A unique setting would definitely go a long way
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim had something different than the other titles in the series: a distinct setting. The snowy landscapes of the game, together with the Viking architecture, made a huge difference in Skyrim. The game was clearly much more different than Oblivion and Daggerfall. We really think that the next title needs to have a similar unique setting.
The combat system needs to be significantly improved
Everyone can probably agree that the combat system needs to be completely changed. Even though the previous title had the best combat in the series until now, it was still too repetitive and simple. This is one of the most common complaints that fans have. We really hope to see a much more advanced combat system in The Elder Scrolls VI.
