Rockstar Games is one of the world’s biggest game developers and its crown jewel is the GTA franchise. The latest GTA game was released back in 2013 and despite being so old, the game is still generating profits for Rockstar Games to this day. This proves to us that Rockstar Games has all the motivation that it needs in order to create GTA VI, but the game has yet to arrive. With that being said, today we are going to reveal to you the real reasons why GTA VI is taking so long.
Red Dead Redemption 2
The primary reason why Rockstar Games didn’t rush to create GTA VI is because it wanted to release Red Dead Redemption 2 first. As previously mentioned, Rockstar Games is a massive company and it doesn’t want to be known only for one game, similar to how CD Projekt Red has given up on the famous Witcher series in order to create Cyberpunk: 2077. Nonetheless, Red Dead Redemption 2 has been out for a couple of months now and Rockstar Games has yet to announce any news about GTA VI.
Biggest Project Yet
GTA V is such an incredible game that it raised the standards for all future titles. Therefore, Rockstar Games wants to make sure that GTA VI features an immersive world and a cool story so that it can deliver on the hype created by GTA V.
Next-Generation Consoles
The last thing that we want to touch on is the fact that GTA VI will feature next-generation graphics because there isn’t anything else that Rockstar Games can add to it in order to make it significantly better than GTA V. Therefore, we are going to have to wait until Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo launch their next-generation consoles in order for GTA VI to come out.
