The internet has been buzzing with rumors and speculations about GTA 6 and now, we finally something reliable. The reason why Rockstar Games hasn’t created the highly anticipated GTA 6 until now is because the game developer wanted to focus on Red Dead Redemption 2. Fortunately, Red Dead Redemption 2 has now been released and Rockstar Games is free to start developing other games. This is why Rockstar Games has listed a bunch of new job openings for programmers.
Rockstar Games Starts Hiring Programmers
Rockstar Games has started expanding its staff by hiring lots of new programmers which makes it clear that a new game is coming. The job listing doesn’t mention GTA 6, but it does say that the programmers are going to be assigned to create a “next-gen” game.
This is what the job listing for programmers says: “Develop new and enhance existing graphics technologies (rendering, lighting, shadows, shaders, culling, scene management and others) to help achieve state-of-the-art-visuals”.
GTA 6 or Red Dead Redemption 2 DLC?
Some people are saying that Rockstar Games is not actually starting the development process for GTA 6 and that the game developer wants to create a DLC for Red Dead Redemption 2. This might prove to be true since Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the best games to launch in 2018 and fans definitely want more of it.
Although, we believe that Rockstar Games needs to create GTA 6 and not a Red Dead Redemption 2 DLC. It’s been nearly six years since GTA V was released and the excitement for GTA 6 is going down every month. We should also note that both Sony and Microsoft are getting ready to launch their next-generation consoles and the best move that Rockstar Games could make would be to launch GTA 6 at the same time with them which could happen in 2020.
